Place LED Conductive Technologies pioneered techniques for embedding light-emitting subminiature radial lead diodes (LEDs) wholly within the matrix of the membrane key switch. This provides read-out capabilities for both graphic and function indications while eliminating separate LED circuit boards. Certain LED configurations are readable up to 165° from center.

Conductive Technologies switch faceplates realize the maximum in graphic potential, using both surface and subsurfacing imaging techniques. They employ brilliant customized inks, computerized, spectrographic color matching, crisp and unequivocal legends, specialized opaquing and transparency techniques to achieve lenses, windows, and access ports or "dead-fronts" with appropriate degrees of clarity.

Other possible graphic effects include brilliant, full-color pictorial reproduction and projections and spectral gradations through four-color process techniques.
